Hampton Inn Houston/Baytown

Very clean and sanitary. Loved that there was a hand sanitizer station in almost every corner. Staff also took the extra step to ensure no person with a fever could stay. Room itself was tidy and clean. Great location for food and shopping. Staff also helped often and were friendly. My issues would be the shower curtains that kept moving to the center thus not covering the left and right sides making water spray out. The shower was also odd as all the water would not reach the shower head despite pulling the faucet. Additionally, there was an awkward almost V-shaped gap on the tub floor. Having the coffee brewer inside the restroom was also odd. There was not enough condiments like sugar and cream for more than one person. Breakfast was mediocre, but that is mainly due to safety measures against COVID-19. One of the lights on the entryway in my hotel room was flickering. A staff at night did not bother to ask if we needed assistance despite us standing in front of the desk for several minutes. She assisted a couple who entered promptly rather than us, which was quite rude, but the other person at the front desk helped us immediately after helping someone else. Other than that, great service and lodging!

Gladys at the front desk was fabulous! I did not have a reservation. The computer was down. She was able to go online, make a reservation and check me into the perfect room. She went above and beyond!

I was visiting for business and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. They had my room nice and cool when I arrived . I really enjoyed my stay.

Made great accommodation to correct a central Hilton reservation incorrectness by switching rooms around to accommodate a family of 5 requiring a roll in shower. The staff could not have been nicer and calming over the problem. Stated there was no problem in fixing , switching rooms and bringing a roll in bed. The hot breakfast was great and Ms Fallen, of the hotel staff was great in making all of us feel welcome and resolving the issues!

Stayed for a couple of nights a month ago, rooms are clean, breakfast selection has everything you could need. You can tell this hotel has a bit of age to it, but they maintain it pretty well. Staff is very accommodating. Anybody can get into the pool area outside without having a key which isn't the best scenario. I think the best feature is they allow free use of washer and dryer so long you provide your own detergent or purchase some at the office.

Yes, this hotel is a bit dated, but the staff and cleanliness more than make up for it. We checked in late last night, and all the luggage carts had been left through the halls by other guests. Gladys checked cameras and located one on the 3rd floor and retrieved it for us while we were getting unloaded from the car. She went above & beyond, and we appreciate her!

Property location is good. Needs a refresh, rooms are a bit dated and need repairs. Free breakfast is satisfactory. Plenty of parking. Good weekend rates.

Great overall experience, lots of good restaurants close by. Stayed with my wife and granddaughter. The breakfast was good, and the staff was professional and friendly. Ms Ann at the front desk won the day by moving us to the ground floor because my wife knew was hurting. Still waiting on my incidental deposit to be refunded, but other than that I have nothing but good vibes.
